      1. July 17, 2017 11th CD Meeting; discussion: change Rachel’s attendance; motion by Rachel; 2nd by Alex; no discussion; approved by unanimous vote.
      2. Sept. 23, 2017 DPVA Central in Fredericksburg
      3. Sept. 23, 2017 11th CD meeting in Fredericksburg
      4. Discussion: correct Sandra’s last name misspelling; correct Rachel’s attendance; George Becerra admitted his absences but claimed familial reason. Chair Haley stated that every member of committee gives advance notice to chair, vice chair, secretary or complete committee if she/he cannot attend and the chair’s interpretation of “excused” is very understanding and generous.  Becerra has never given any advance notice or notice on day of absence so it is not excused.
      5. Motion by Rachel; 2nd by Alex; no discussion; approved by unanimous vote.
    6. Treasurer’s Report by Rachel Rifkind as of 8/21/2017. Federal account: $5,814.15. Non-federal account: $2,805.52.  Motion by Penny for report to be filed; accepted; no vote required.
    7. Chair’s Report by Bob Haley.  Halfway to St. Paddy’s success; Diwali dinner success; donations to HoD candidates.

      3. Fairfax City (Penny): Good 4th of July Parade; special election for city council 9/12.
    9. Halfway to St. Patrick’s 9/17 at Aulde Shebeen, 4:30-7 pm.  Rebecca to make flyers; Lainie to organize silent auction; Rachel to run check-in; Manisha decorating; Bryan posting website.
    10. Tech/Comm Working Group: Lainie & Paul reported conference call with Rebecca; website improvement; Rebecca working with Indivisible Groups.

    12. Special Election in Fairfax County for School Board Member August 29.  Motion for $1,000 donation to Keys-Gamarra by Morgan; 2nd by Dan; discussion re budget committee creation by Bob; other fall election candidate donations.  Amended motion for $500 donation; 2nd by Morgan; Dan’s 2nd of original motion removed; approved by unanimous vote.

    Motion by Sandra: “Let the record reflect that the committee thanks Bridget Murphy for her accomplishments and work on behalf of the Committee.”  2nd by Sue.  Approved by unanimous vote.

    Guest speaker: Alex Vuskovic (Donte Tanner campaign) – 7 minutes.

    7. Vice Chair Prince William Report: Ernestine.  Clerk of Court election 4/18/2017 – Jackie Smith doing well, held two debates.  Nice drop piece by Connolly.  Robocalls by Connolly/Kaine/Northam.  Upcoming HoD races- primaries in June.  Blue Victory Dinner – 4/30/2017 @ Old Hickory Yacht Club.

    8. Fairfax City Report by Kathy: Upcoming 7/4/17 parade.

    9. FCDC Report by Sue: HoD races in all three districts: 40; 42 ;67. Primaries in 42 & 67.  Events planned: NoVa Summit (training); Gov debate Lanier MS; Halfway to St. Paddy’s 9/17.  -Changed name to “Jefferson Obama Dinner” – 5/21/2017.  -NoVa Summit – 4/23/2017 11a-6p @ Fairfax HS.
